Yesterday April 1 2019 I went to my scheduled post surgical recovery appointment at my Podiatrist's office and after six months of recovery time after a Trans-Metatarsal Amputation surgery on my right foot I was presented with my new shoes and after six months of hard work and the dedication of my surgical team I walked again for the first time. I thought it was an April Fools joke that they were pulling on me. But to my delight it was no April Fools joke but my actual shoes. I couldn't believe that after six months I was finally able to put a pair of shoes on and actually walk. So let this be a learning lesson to any of you out there that might be facing a similar situation where you might be incapacitated in any way for a long extended period that with faith and determination and hard work and good friends you can overcome any obstacle you might be faced with. Of course it helps to have an expert medical team also. So my friends as I embark on the next chapter of my life and the chance to once again become a productive member of society I wish all of you the very best and hope to see many of you in October at the 55th Reunion. Tom

Starting to get back to normal activities after going through trans-metatarsal amputation surgery on Nov 16th. It's been a long road back but steadily improving every day. I want to make sure I make it to the 55th Reunion. I went to the 50th and had an absolute blast and got reacquainted with classmates I hadn't seen or heard from in years. I owe it all to Paul Hartford who was my best friend in high school and remains the same today. He somehow tracked me down and I'm glad he did. To my surprise he called me one day and told me he was moving to Florida which brought me great joy because now we wouldn't be 3,000 miles apart but now only 120 which has led to many trips to see our beloved Red Sox play in Tampa and their spring training facility. I hope this little update finds you all in good health and that you are all making plans for the 55th Reunion.
