We lost our dear friend and Reunion Committe member Marjorie on March 19, 2021.

She was a great inspiration with our Class of 1964 Reunion planning over many years, and  will be missed terribly. 

OBITUARY

Margie Anne Callanan

JUNE 4, 1946 – MARCH 19, 2021

Age 74, of Newton and Nantucket, passed away on March 19, 2021 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was the loving and dedicated wife of Robert Callanan. She especially enjoyed her time with him on Nantucket, which brought them much peace and joy. It was their slice of heaven. 

Margie was the proud mother of Michelle Blair and her husband Bryan, Ken Zinner and his wife Lori and Julie Rubin and her husband Dan. She was the caring stepmother of Deirdre Callanan and Christopher Callanan and his wife Michelle. Margie was the cherished sister of Ellen Sade and her husband Marshall. She was the adoring grandmother of Isabella, Rose, Zach, Neeve, Miles, Abby, Kyle and Addie. 

Margie was kind, thoughtful, considerate, patient, and warm. She loved spending time with family, above all else. Having all of her children and grandchildren living nearby gave her great pleasure. Margie treasured her time with the many dogs she had throughout her life. She was blessed to have had many close friends whom she loved dearly. 

The funeral will take place at 1:30 pm on March 22, 2021 at Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut St., Newton Center, MA 02459. The service will be public, open to all with mask and social distancing.  There will also be an in person outdoor gathering at the Heritage Inn in Sherborn following the burial.
