Looking forward to seeing many old friends next May.

I retired in 2007 after completing 40 very successful years in sales/marketing management in the electronic component industry.

Today I enjoy playing golf, bowling, gardening and working on The Relay for Life Cancer Walk for Natick/Framingham/Sherborn. Also love being with family and friends. I have 12 nieces/nephews, 23 great nieces/nephews and 3 great, great nieces.

JUDI MARKS Obituary





Marks, Judi Of Wayland, MA, formerly of Newton, passed away on May 30, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Alan R. Starr. Dear daughter of the late Arthur S. and Marjorie Marks. Devoted mother of Joshua Gitlin and Michael Gitlin. Loving sister of David Marks and his wife Lynn Hardenburgh. Cherished aunt of Jeremy Marks. Judi was a renowned school adjustment counselor on the elementary level for over thirty years in the Weston Public Schools. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon St., Brookline, MA, on Tuesday, June 2, at 12 noon. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be at her late residence until 8pm, and will continue Wed and Thursday, 2-4, 7-9 PM. Robert Bob Stephen Brown passed away at home on March 27, 2015 with his family by his side. He was a wonderful husband to Catherine Brown, father to Lisa Brown-Hooper and grandfather to RJ and Alex Hooper all of Marblehead and a wonderful mentor to their cousin, Jared McAvoy. Bob grew up in Newton and was the son of the late Sarah and Sidney Brown. He graduated from Newton High School and obtained his Bachelors degree from Northeastern University.

Bob attended Bigelow and was at the 50th reunion and looked well. Complete obit is on "In Memory Page"

Grace Dempsey attended Bigelow and was a member of our class.

Grace Charlotte Dempsey, 68, of Newton died February 26 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was born in Providence, RI; daughter of the late William A and Grace J. (Stangle) Dempsey. She was raised in Providence, Natick, Dorchester and Newton and was a graduate of Newton High School. She also attended Boston University where she majored in art. Her art was very important to her and she enjoyed sharing it with family and friends. Grace had been employed as an assistant manager for C.V.S. Pharmacy prior to her retirement. Grace is survived by her brother William A. Dempsey and his wife Anne of West Springfield, two nieces Elizabeth Lee and Sarah Tarantino and a nephew W. Joseph Dempsey and two grandnephews and three grandnieces. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in Grace's memory may be made to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, 130 Bowdoin St, ste.309, Boston, MA, 02108. Callanan-Cronin Funeral Home, 34 church St. Hopkinton is assisting the family with arrangements.
