ALFRED BIANCHI OBITUARY

BIANCHI, Alfred Age 76 of Bedford, died Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Lawrence General Hospital after a long illness. Born in Newton (Nonantum, The Lake), Alfred was the Captain of the Newton North Baseball team and Co-Captain of the Football Team. He also played semi-pro baseball for Boston Envelope in the Boston Park League. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of American Taxi in Maynard, MA. He was the loving brother of the late Joan Sheehan of Melrose, MA. He is survived by his sons, Alfred Bianchi, Jr. and Joseph Bianchi of Florida and John Bianchi of Massachusetts. He was the loving grandfather of Joseph Bianchi, Jr., Zofia Bianchi, Anthony Bianchi, Maria Bianchi and Dean Bianchi. Private services are planned.

Big Al was Captain of our B-ball team when we won Easterns under Fergie & Fractman in ‘63. Opposing players were in for a surprise trying to slide into home plate...and running into an oak tree. Baseball cemented our friendship..from FA Day to HS. RIP Big Al.
